Music has always been a big part Bobby's life. Bobby's musical influences vary. He is inspired by Elvis Prestley, The Beatles, The Eagles, and Bob Segar, but his true love for music came though the influence of country. His mentors in country music have been Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Conway Twitty.
Bobby grew up in a suburban town of Ohio. He started playing guitar when he was eight and at the age of eleven, received a guitar for a Christmas present. Bobby enjoyed the holiday by singing and playing guitar with his parents, who both played musical intruments, and with the other family members. He played and sang in school assemblies and played in his first band at the age of fourteen.
In 1990, after serving thirteen tears in the U.S. Army, Bobby moved to the state of Virginia and fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley. He still made time for his passion for his music. He has played and sang with local bands. The exposure lead him to the opportunity to open for the country band Ricochet and the opportunity to sing with country recording artist Roddy McDowell. After the performance, Roddy complimented Bobby on his singing talent and excellent voice. Bobby recently met Nashville recording artist Scott Hisey and has had the opportunity to open for Scott on a couple of occasions. Bobby will soon be releasing his first Nashville recording album. The songs were written by very talented singer song writers, including Keith Whitley.
He has put together through several contacts a bittersweet sound of country musicians to perform his original songs, along with other great songs from the past to present.
